This was so cute!!!! It was everything I needed in my life. I loved Alexa. she was strong, caring, and hilarious. Nick was great! They worked so well together. I can't wait to read more by Probst.

Of course I was entertained, however, I feel as though there was a history that was not fully explored or developed. The two knew each other as children, but their lives drifted apart. Why? And who are they as adults. There was a lot of tension with little background.

Despite the publication date of this book I felt it was a cliche filled book and the only thing saving it from a DNF was my need to listen to a book on my drive and this was free.

very predictable. little character build up.

Read 3 & 4 first. Yes, out of order, don't ask.

This is Alexa and Nick's story, it kind of starts it all. Nick is the brother of Maggie (who will eventually marry Michael Conte. We meet him in this story as one of the major players Nick needs on board to accomplish his dream. Maggie is bffs with Alexa and has always had secret feeling for her older brother Nick.

Alexa needs 150k to save her family's house and Nick needs a wife to get the business he worked hard to build with his uncle. In her heart if hearts she wants a real husband but right now she HAS to save her family. Nick wants a wife in name only one that he can easily leave behind after the year if up.

Naturally they are drawn to one another, but they try to deny it. There is some back and forth between them but eventually love wins out. She was the one for him, the only one…always. It's a sweet story complete with a nice HEA.

I used to love the TV show "Ned and Stacey". It only ran for 2 seasons before it got cancelled. (I was probably the only one who watched it). Anyway, this book reminded me of that show so I picked it up and read it even though I usually don't read "romance" novels.

I liked the book, but felt the characters and their relationship could have been developed a little more.

Not bad; I didn't expect to like it since the beginning wasn't to my taste. The rest of the book made up for it.

The writing was corny and choppy at times, but it was decent and tolerable for the most part. The story was predictable, but there were a lot of laugh-out scenes.

Light-hearted, fun, predictable romance novel. I mistakingly thought it was erotic literature but disappointingly, it's not. It's just a vanilla romance but still enjoyable to read. A little on the dull side but that might just be me since I've made the switch from romance to erotica.
