At one point the love interest tells the MC "you're leaking", I panicked way too much which must mean I'm emotionally attached, ig?

It was good not the worst book ever, but God the love interest, Xaden was all over the place. His character was so inconsistent, like he is a secretive bad boy one page and on the other he says "I'm sensing a vibe", he's very guarded and doesn't let people in and he also says out loud "that was a lot hotter then it should be" like man pick a catagory?

Also the last minute POV switch was so unnecessary, it would have been so much better if just stuck with Violet's pov

5 stars. I am now one of those people hopelessly obsessed with Fourth Wing and have already bought the rest of the series.

Disappointing, to say the least.

Wow, where to begin? This was not the dragon riding, lore filled fantasy that I was promised. I’m afraid I fail to understand all the hype about this book - it’s such a let down. The plot is flat, the characters have little to no depth, they experience 0 growth throughout, the world-building is nonexistent and, hello, where were all the dragon interactions?

This just turned out to be a souped up college romance book. And even that is giving it a bit too much credit… I mean, the enemies to lovers line wasn’t even believable. If you’re a true die-hard fantasy fan, don’t waste your time. This book is all bark and no bite. I wanted DRAGONS and all I got was DRAMA.

I was heavily recommended this book especially this year. I mostly listened to the dramatical adaptation to it while I had the book. It was a fun and entertaining read about a college aged woman goes to a university that you can potentially die at and train dragons. I really did enjoy the other characters especially the main love interest and the dragon characters. I understand the story is not everyone's cup of tea, but I don't mind it. I thought it was funny that in order to do exposition the main character basically yells it out history about the world because it calms her. I like Violet being more smart than brawn and the twist at the end surprised me, but looking back at the story it definitely was hinted at or mentioned.

There was a point in the story where I was frustrated with Violet, but I understand why she felt that way, but it still frustrates me. I can understand why this story got popular for sure.

The book does tend to get spicy for sure FYI

I am thoroughly hooked
