Not my regular book. Had to skip a lot of stuff because I’m not interested in the adult theme aspects. Had a classic trope of the weaker conquering in unexpected ways with romance and general fear of vulnerability due to previous trauma. The loss of certain characters and twist and turns kept it interesting. I felt that the combat fighting was a little flat, but this could be because of the audiobook reader. Wouldn’t necessarily recommend to friends, but I can see how people interested in the fantasy/romance world would like it.

I'll be honest, i don't care much about the plot. but i really loved the dragons, they are fucking adorable and just what you need in a book like this. and the writing was easy enough to follow through
Okay, Fourth Wing? More like Slay My Entire Soul Wing because I am officially OBSESSED. I devoured this book like a dragon hoards treasure and now I need the rest of the series yesterday.
The character growth? Chef’s kiss. Watching them level up emotionally, mentally, and badass-ery wise had me cheering, gasping, and occasionally yelling at the page like it could hear me. And the world building? It’s not just immersive—it’s like I enlisted in that war college myself (minus the threat of instant death, thankfully).
Rebecca Yarros knew exactly what she was doing when she wrote this masterpiece. Consider me fully enrolled in dragon school and ready for whatever’s next. Bring on the drama, the danger, and definitely the dragons.
