I enjoyed this more than I thought I might. I liked that it’s a collection in short stories, all well written.
While I loved some of these stories, some were hard to follow and not particularly engaging. The author reads the audiobook so that is terrific, of course! Also, the stories make me miss typing on typewriter and nostalgic for my typing class...

2.5. There are some decent stories here, but honestly, the best thing about them is that American Treasure Tom Hanks wrote them and even better, that he narrated the audiobook. (Who wouldn't enjoy listening to Tom Hanks narrate? You just feel like everything in the world will be OK!) But other than that, most stories just left me feeling unsatisfied. There were some that I enjoyed even though they mostly just...ended, but also several that I had trouble staying focused on. I agree with other reviewers who said the stories have a nostalgic feel to them, but I don't think it's a negative.
I almost quit listening to the book multiple times but I have a thing with books where I have to try, try, try to follow through. So...I kept going until I was about 90 percent through and my library checkout ran out.
