The spice wasn't for me and there is more spice than plot. There was a lot of addressing characters as familial titles in a way that felt inorganic to me.
dark medium-paced

Amazing book definitely a big set up and not much plot but it’s setting up for something good

Reverse harem with step siblings where mysteries grow in the mafia dark romance.
I have to admit I thought the FMC was kinda weak.
To me it like she was being bullied and just taking it. Until she got pissed and spun the table on all 3 boys. And that little scene left me fanning myself

The cliff hanger almost made me chuck the book. Immediately proceeded to get the series because there's no way I'm not running through that series this month lol

What can I say about this book? It was trash. The FMC was a naïve 18 year old and she annoyed me the whole book.

I can’t say I enjoyed this one at all.

The plot often felt all over the place, as if the story could not decide which direction to take. One moment Ryth was devoted to her mother, the next she seemed to resent her. Her feelings toward her stepbrothers were equally confusing, swinging from hatred to love without much explanation. The inconsistencies made it difficult to fully engage with the story.

Ryth was an unlikeable protagonist. She came across as naive and clueless at times, but also contradictory in her decisions and emotions. Her reactions to her family, particularly regarding her father’s criminal activities, often seemed inconsistent and jarring. This made it hard to connect with her character or fully invest in her journey.

That said, there were moments of mindless fun and tension that kept the pages turning, particularly the dark, obsessive dynamics with the stepbrothers. However, the story never quite managed to hit the spot.

I don’t think I’ll be rushing to read the rest of the series.
