This book is spicy and has a story line that is completely unique. Yeah it makes a me a little uncomfortable but I’m still going to read the entire series. Tobias, Caleb, Nick, and Ryth were forced together. Hate and anger forged their relationship but when it comes to her they’ll put their lives on the line without a second thought.

This was nice!

It wasn’t anything earth shattering or life changing mind you, but it was fun.

Tobias was a glorious wealth of obsession.

Nick was an adorable switch where he could easily shift from being the peace maker and the goofy moderator to being totally top Dom energy, Dominic Torreto/ Vin Diesel type man.

And then our quite and neglected Caleb. The ultimate Dom. The strong and quite type. Boy did I fall fast and hard for him. Despite being my fav aside from T, C gets literally only one POV chapter while the other brothers bask in multiple. Totally not fair. Poor C.

Overall, this was nice, it was an interesting enough read to keep me going but there were definitely some cringe points and some jumps in terms of the FL characters thoughts and feelings that seemed to kick into high gear at random. And tbh, as a character overall I didn’t really relate or vibe with her too much.

She is described over and over again as being this skinny little malnourished looking whisp of a girl. And yet she has Oto and the boys and maybe even Lazarus drooling and tripping over themselves despite not showing any true charismatic or memorable character traits, quirks and personality aside from her scar.

Idk. It was nice. But again, nothing you absolutely NEED to read. Bc spoilers, book 2 was gosh awful. Avoid at all costs. No joke. I stopped half way and skipped to the epilogue it was so bad. But that’s just my experience.

This whole world is a delicious masterpiece. Ryth got herself 3 new stepbrothers, and my goodness each of them has me down on my knees. I understand why no one picks in a why choose. 3 hot men taking what they want from you? And you wanna give it to them? Might as well.
The whole book has kept me in a chokehold, but the ending really has me begging for more.

I was sick with a cold starting this and just needed something I could enjoy the ride and not have to think too much. It was a perfect fit for that circumstance.

This book is very spicy with a plot that is more back burner to make room for the spice, but that's alright some books are like that. It was a good time over all and it does end on a cliffhanger for those who are curious.

I don't normally read ones where characters are still in high school, and there is some high school level drama between the MC and her love interests. I didn't really like the high school aspect, but as that felt like a back burner part of the story, and most of the events are focused outside the school, it's easy to go a long with it. MC is in her last stretch of high school and is 18 the whole book, something I am not always wanting to read (but that's just a personal preference).

Over all quick read fairly entertaining, not sure if I want to continue just based on my personal reading preferences, but maybe some day!

Starts off as a typical Taboo RH story. Way too much sexy time. I started skimming those scenes.

60ish% in we start seeing some interesting things that build into a plot.

By the end though we have a solid mafia plot line going that I can’t wait to see in the next book.

I’m pretty sure now that the romance is established and we’re into the plot the next book is going to be a banger!
