I didn’t know a book could actually make me as creeped out and angry as this one did but wow. I was wrong.

I LOVE dark romance. And I’ve read darker shit than this before. But it wasn’t the “dark” part of the book that bugged the ever living shit out of me.

It was the nonsense and absolute bullshit that came upon meeting Ryth. Like…they hated her because their mother died and they blamed a random girl THEY NEVER FUCKING MET BEFORE.

“You ruined my life.” But like…bro. HOW?!?!

THEN it was the “sister” comments. Things like “We’ll fuck you real good little sister” not those exact words but using little sister during sexy scenes was WEIRD. Like I KNOW they aren’t blood related. I KNOW THIS!!! But dude. EWWW. NO. If felt like they acknowledged her as a REAL sister. I don’t mind a forbidden romance or taboo romance. I actually like them…when they’re written well.

This. Was. Not.

There was something about this book that screamed NO to me.

There is something about Caleb, Nick, and Tobias that hooked me almost immediately. I love me a good broken hero and that cliffhanger!!!

I entered this book really sceptical but after about chapter 4 I could not put it down. The balance that is found, the alpha nature, and touch her you die energy is on point! Yet there was some surprising depth at times related to why the brothers were the way they were. I cannot wait to see more of the darkness and underbelly to come in the next book.
