It took me a while to get into this book because I wasn't sure it would be for me. Right off the bat, our main character Emilia was annoying me a bit. She grew on me quite a lot throughout the story. This book was fast-paced and sometimes a bit too much where I wound up losing track of what was going on. However, I ended up liking the book all in all.
What subtracts for me is that the story felt like it at times had an issue with pacing. The last three chapters of the book felt a bit rushed to the point where I had to let my mind wrap up what was going on. And I remember a part within the book where Emilia was talking to Wrath about a type of monster, and then all of a sudden, boom there it was.
I however loved the plot build-up nevertheless. The seven kings of hell with each their biblical sin attached to their name. And Emilia grew on me, and most of the plot twists worked in favor of the author. I’m interested in the follow-up where the story can continue.

I just have a lot of emotions to process through. It has to be part of a bigger plan. I refuse to accept anything other than that because otherwise I would not survive WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED.
I wasn’t expecting a lot from this book.
But I think this is one of my new favorite books.
The plot, the characters, I just loved it all. Wrath and Emilia are perfect and I love them.

I enjoyed the book, but felt the story was weaker then it could have been and the characters needed to be fleshed out more. Antonio being revealed as a villain was hinted at with all the subtletyof a scooby doo villain and there confrontation at the end gave me whiplash with how the feelings of scene switched.
okay did it take me awhile? Sure
Was it slow? Yes
Last 100 pages of the book? Amazing
Prince wrath I love you and I can’t wait for you to make your return
