Oooo this book made me so mad. The concept was so cool and I was actually really excited to read this but the way she wrote drove me nuts. She does not understand show don’t tell. It made the main character seem stupid the way she wrote. And just some of the plot just didn’t make sense or the choices the mc made. Ugh. That is what I get for reading a book presented by James Patterson. I’m having maximum ride flashbacks.
I am once again asking people to hire an editor.

After reading a dense fantasy before this, everything in this book felt rushed (although, it’s probably just me!) It also felt a little melodramatic, but I am now necessarily bothered by that.
Despite all that, audible gasped a few times and had a good time overall. I enjoy led the concept… and this book made me hungry with all of the Italian food talk

I’m in love with this. The characters, oh my god. The plot, utter perfection. I can’t wait to read the second one. My only problem was it took the mc so long to recognize her feelings for the ml. But it’s okay because if she doesn’t admit her feelings to him in the second book I’ll cry.
