Beautifully written memoir about Ousman Umar's strenuous journey from Ghana to Spain. Naturally, the topics in this are rough but his voice is surprisingly hopeful throughout all of it without disguising the foul reality. There's a lot to learn and to feel through reading this relatively short book and I'll absolutely treasure it for a long time.

A very powerful story of a 14 year old boy with a dream to make it to paradise. Surviving an impossible journey and working hard to get a life he dreamed of. A very informative read about life in parts of Africa; shedding like on the evil and good within this world. And the experience of “different worlds” through the eyes of an immigrant. A short read but very well written and a powerful story that everyone should read.

I enjoyed following along in his journey to Europe through Africa. Even through so much hardship he persevered and never gave up and was still able to make it there and make something of himself. Ousman is truly inspiring; I have so much respect for this man.
