If we had endless access to potential partners and the lives we had created with them, how would we choose to stop looking and settle down with one of them? Lauren wasn't married, but in her apartment with her magical attic, husbands descend and throw her into alternate possibilities for her life, and all she has to do to change it is send the husband back to the attic. Some of them get sent back because they're awful, and some of them get sent back for the smallest of reasons. Some of them change Lauren's life dramatically, and some of them make few marks on the world she knew before. Sometimes Lauren is relatable, and sometimes she isn't, but in all, it's a fascinating concept that is well-written and often funny.

Interesting concept but about 100 pages too long.
