This book is full of forgotten names throughout history. Bryson does an excellent job of weaving in these forgotten names into the fabric of the story of how the universe was created and its journey towards modernity. Brilliant and funny. I really couldn’t put it down.

This book sucks! Unbelievably American and Eurocentric. Trying out "The Eastern Origins of Western Civilization" by Hobson, and searching for other alternatives.

What a mammoth undertaking, it only took me forever to finish.
