Another fantastical adventure that transported me into the world of Nevermoor. I think I liked this installment even more than the first one - the characters continue to grow and I became more enraptured with each chapter. I've heard a lot of people compare this series to Harry Potter, and I see the comparison, however I find this series to have far more whimsy and delight than Harry Potter. Where Harry Potter is dark and serious, Nevermoor is light-hearted and enchanting. I am so excited to see where this series goes!

This was an excellent book! Jessica Townsend's writing is just like Morrigan calling wunder. It's like she knows the perfect words to say, in just the right way, to make those golden threads of wunder wrap around the reader. Morrigan's story is inventive and draws from other young fantasy novels like it, but the telling feels fresh and totally engrossing. I care about everyone that Townsend writes about. Her characters seem like they must be real to her because they certainly feel real to me.
Definitely read the first in this series, then read this one, then wring both hands until the third one comes out.
