There's one glaring plot hole that's driving me crazy, but maybe I'm overthinking it. If Marguerite can only appear in dimensions in which her parents are together, wouldn't her sister Josie have to also be her older sister and therefore exist as well? Well, she doesn't appear in Russia. Interesting that her mom had an affair and of the two Caine offspring, Marguerite (the youngest) is the one who gets to be born. Maybe I'm missing something. I'm no scientist or specialist in this sort of thing, but the way the novel explained the dimensional travel, it seemed to contradict itself.

This book wasn’t for me. My 2 biggest hangups: first, the teenage girl MC’s romance with our 2 male leads.
It felt like she was more concerned with them romantically than in anything else as they were dimension traveling.

Second, it was made clear that they can only dimension travel, not time travel. Yet the dimension they spend a 1/3 of the book in is basically Russia a century ago. If that’s the story, why not make it time travel?

I don’t really think it’s a bad book, but I don’t enjoy historical fiction or romance, and this book is closer to those genres than sci fi.

SECOND READ

It's been four years since. And I'm falling in love again, just like how Paul will always chose Marguerite and vice versa.

Can't believe I read this book in one sitting. Proves how addictive this book is.

FIRST READ
This book is absolutely awesome.

As a reader who loves all kind of genre, I always hope that a book can combine different genre together without looking too forced or too bland. But this book is the perfect combination.

It's a mixture of romance, adventure and mystery with a whoosh of science and history. Even though some may say that it does mostly centres on romance, the plot makes the whole book much better.

Oh and the plot twist, not just one, or two, but four to five? Well the first chapter already did blow my mind. And the ending is just too perfect.

I just treasure this book so much. All thanks to weeling yay. One of the best book I have read in 2016. I'm a fan from now on

3.5 stars. The premise is captivating, and the plot progression very clever, however the protagonist verges on self-righteous at times, and the romance was overbearing. Rather than a sci-fi novel with aspects of romance, this was a romance novel using sci-fi as the foil to their love. Also, the characters tended to spend a little too long in one dimension, especially the Russian one – a lot of elements could have been cut in places. Not a terrible book, but not meeting my expectations.

I'm totally I love with this book! The cover is amazing, just as the story. I can't wait to read the sequel!
