My feelings towards this book are so incredibly mixed. There are parts that I really enjoyed and loved, and parts that didn't make sense to me and made me feel really irritated. I do think that this was overall a decent finale to the Good Girl trilogy, even if it was not what I expected. And in my opinion, this series was pretty damn good.

From here on my review will contain spoilers, don't read beyond this point if you haven't read the book yet.

The first half of As Good As Dead is a completely different book from the second half, and I have good and bad things to say about each part. The beginning was really slow, and I just didn't care or like how Pip was behaving. Don't get me wrong, it makes some sense, but the whole "drug addict" thing was a tough pill to swallow for me, it just didn't seem like something Pip would do. I also felt like it took too long to get the mystery going, which is such a shame since it's one of the best aspects of the entire trilogy. I love the trapped and eerie feeling we have watching Pip being stalked and threatened by a serial killer, and that ticking clock was so good. I did figure out who the killer was sooner than Pip, as it was pretty obvious, especially when Andie's email was read. The kidnapping sequence was really tense too, and I'll admit that I wasn't entirely sure Pip would survive. I think I would've preferred if more of the book was focused more on this cat and mouse, versus what happens in the rest of the book.

Speaking of the second half, the plot twist was kind of insane. I can't believe Pip really murdered someone in cold blood, and then plotted how to not only get away with it, but pin it on someone else. At first this twist pissed me off, and I just wasn't into it, but as I kept listening I started to feel more on board with it, as it gave me very strong Dexter vibes, and I'm a fan of that series. It was actually really interesting seeing all of the little things Pip and Ravi had to do to stage the crime scene, and frame Max Hastings. But my favorite thing definitely had to be Ravi's undying loyalty to Pip, I kept waiting for the rug to be pulled out from underneath us, for Ravi to start to be scared or hate Pip, but he never did, and it just made me love him even more. The part that almost ruined the entire book for me though, was when I thought Ravi was going to lie to the police, saying that he was the killer to protect Pip. I was actually so mad about the prospect of that going down that I turned it off, and didn't pick it back up for an entire day. Thankfully Holly Jackson didn't do that, and she actually gave us a satisfying and happy ending (I still don't understand why Pip made so many dumb decisions, and why Det. Hawkins suspected her, the man is an idiot, but whatever).

Pretty much everything Pip did and said in this book pissed me off to no end. I even figured out who the killer was way way before she did. Ravi was the saving grace of this novel and, tbh, he deserves someone less annoying that Pip.

I enjoyed the 2nd book more than the 1st and I expected to enjoy the 3rd one even more. But it fell flat for me. The Part one was boring af for me. It got interesting in Part 2 but not as much as the earlier books. What I'd love to bring to focus is that this book is very different type of mystery I have ever read (
about how someone gets away with murder
) I also like how unhinged Pip became as a character with taking anti-anxiety pills (that's what I'm assuming they were) but it went too far
with killing him with a hammer. Cause Pip doesn't seem like a killer. Also, in the whole process of saving herself, she absolutely forgot Billy. She was going to save Billy!! Pip was always the person who did things to save other people and to bring the truth out.
But this book seemed like I don't know who Pip is cause she seems sooo out of character.

I was disappointed with this book.
