The characters find cielis after their group seperates (2 characters being carried off by a bird, half the group hiding near the house) but the city in the clouds isnt what it seems
Emily and her family are ushered into the castle, the elves arrested, by the council
The part of the group that have ben cursed in animal form wander the city but are met with silent, yet disdained citizens
A girl tells the group about the mysterys of the city and they become more concered for emilys position
Emily meets a stonekeeper council member initiate Max along with a few others battling for seats on the council
And must work through challenges in the guardian academy to prove her worth
An old friend of silas is united with the characters carried off

I think the art is even more beautiful the more of this series I read. In this 4th book, the characters have become more complex and the story feels like it's just getting to the good part. I would have prefered to get to this story place in fewer than the 4 books it took to get here, but am looking forward to where we're going.

Finally we get to the floating city! A new enemy! A new addition to the group as well. Three new additions including the dragon. Finally they are working together with the elves. I still don’t know if they can be trusted. As usual, artwork was stunning. Can’t wait to read the next one!!!
