Fighting Chance: A Steamy Sports Contemporary Billionaire Romance by Toni Denise

This isn't the first book I've read by the author. Fighting Chance is a fantastic read. I loved every minute and really didn't want it to end. This book is a steamy read and I like that.

Kendall is a sports journalist. She finds out that her dad is coaching. He should be retiring, not coaching, but she soon finds out what's going on. She goes to a match to see what the fuss is all about. The quote I chose for Kendall is: “I have no idea. If I had a better story idea, I would have led with that. I’m screwed.”

Chad moved to town in order to be trained by Rich. He had to bug the old man, but finally got through to him. When Rich's daughter shows up things go out the window. The quote I chose for Chad is: “Hold them like that. I assume you know how to throw a punch from your dad, but if you have to use it, this will stun him enough to get away. Keep me between you and them at all times. We’re going to move quick, but try to look casual. Got it?”

Highly recommended for Sports Romance lovers.

This was a great 5 star read. It was a quick read that pulled me right in.
Kendall is a reporter and when she gets an opportunity to do a different story she jumps on it. She ends up meeting Chad at an underground MMA event. Kendall wants to interview Chad but he refuses. You can definitely pick up on the sparks flying between them. Can Kendall convince him to help with her story? Will they get a HEA?

Overall I really enjoyed this couple. My emotions were all over the place. The author does a great job with her writing. If you're looking for a good quick read, 1-click and get started today. I look forward to reading more from this author.

This is a good story and a quick read. It definitely draws the reader in and kept me turning pages. It is a slower burn between the two main personalities. While I liked that I was also over half before I realized there was mot even a kiss. There is a lit of info on Kendall and her thoughts and feelings. Not much on Chad. Really just vague info. I wish the author was a bit more expansive on his character and his secret. I never really got any specific info on who he really is, what he does that makes him so powerful or why he wants to fight. Opening that area up would make this a more rounded story and make me feel more complete when I was finished reading.

This was a great short read and one that I really enjoyed. The dual point of view is great because it felt like I could really get to know both of the main characters Kendall and Chad. The author really did bring these characters to life, I found them all to be very relatable and realistic at times. I loved Kendall’s Dad – he was a great character and I loved their close relationship. Kendall was certainly tenacious in her quest for the story to save her job and Chad wasn’t going to make it easy for her. I loved them both and was secretly rooting for them the whole way through!
A fantastic sports romance that is exceptionally well written! I 100% recommend this story to other readers and in particular the sports romance fans out there!

Kendall is a sports writer with an inside knowledge of the fighting world thanks to her dads boxing career. Her dad is training Chad and invites Kendall to an MMA fight for help her find a story to save her career. In meeting Chad, more than her job is on the line when she begins to fall for this man who is more than he appears to be. This was a super fast read. I only meant to read a couple chapters but could not stop reading. It was a relatively clean romance read with touches of innuendo. I'm always a sucker for a feel good ending and this one did not disappoint.

Fighting Chance by Toni Denise is a shorter novel but packs a punch, pardon the pun, but I can’t think of a more appropriate description!

Kendall is a reporter trying to make her mark, but all her stories are shot down by her boss, and now, she has to come up with a good one, or she is out on the street without a job. She gets an inside scoop on an underground but not illegal MMA fighting circuit from her father who is a trainer in a local gym. Little does she know how this story will impact both her personal and professional life.

Chad is the MMA fighter that Kendall’s dad is training. I have read my share of MMA books, but this one is a bit different, in a good way. There is a little bit of mystery that involves the true identity of Chad. He isn’t your typical fighter, and he didn’t become a fighter for the fame it can involve. As a matter of fact, he is trying to keep his true identity a secret. So, agreeing to an interview with Kendall won’t be easy for him. The two share some intense chemistry from their very first meeting, and it only becomes stronger as the story progresses.

As I indicated earlier in my review, the book is shorter than some. However, there is a lot of exciting stuff happening within the pages. It’s told from a dual POV, so readers get an insight into the thoughts and feelings of both characters which draws you more into their story. The book also touches on bullying, so you get a good romance along with something serious that affects society. It’s a solid read that doesn’t take very long at all to finish.

Ok so I could not put this one down. Kendall is a sports reporter and also the daughter of a retired fighter. Chad is an underground fighter that really doesn’t want the attention a reporter would bring. The attraction they both feel is undeniable. She does not want to date a fighter and he is being trained by her dad. Will they be able to stay apart? Will she be able to discover his secrets?

What could possibly go wrong when a journalist on the verge of losing her job who needs a big story to save her career meets a super hot MMA fighter with a secret he wants kept under wraps. You need to read this great book to find out! Kendall and Chad have a connection right from the start, even if neither of them want to admit it, that only gets harder to resist the more they get to know each other. With Chad wanting his true identity kept secret, Kendall's job definitely throws a spanner in the works but this creative author weaves a fabulous story for us all as we follow these wonderful characters through some very interesting times

This book leaves you wanting more. I loved the characters, the romance that reels you in and keeps you pinned. I finished it in one sitting and absolutely adored every part of it. The instant attraction between Chad and Kendall, and the anticipation of them being together was perfect.

Chad is this perfect, broody gentleman, who goes for what he wants, even when he swore he wouldn’t, and Kendall is this amazing woman, who will do whatever it takes to get her story. I absolutely loved the character building and the flow of the story. I’m excited to see what else Toni has in store.

Sports romances really seem to scratch that perfect brain itch, and this one hit the spot!

Fighting Chance is a captivating MMA contemporary romance tale. I really enjoyed this book and push and pull. It is a short story but it packs a punch. The chemistry is undeniable between the characters that you will fall in love with them.

This is the story about Kendall and Chad. Chad is a champion fighter and much sought after by all and not even one relentless reporter can change his mind, or can she?

Kendall is after the next big story and one champion MMA fighter is just that but nothing, she does will change his mind, or will he?
