An unlikely duo of Max and Kevin band together to take on the world as Freak the Mighty.

I remembered seeing this movie when I was younger, so I decided to finally read the book. It was a great book with fun characters. I can understand it’s lingering popularity.

I’m not a very emotional person, but this book made me cry. This book was a random choice, but it had me hooked from the start. I don’t think it was even on my reading list. I fell in love with the characters, and could guess what would happen, but I still cried! This is beautifully written, and I would read it again.

This book proves that middle grade/young adults deserve great stories, it's a shame the genre is oversaturated with such mid stories. This has been on my shelf for years and I'm so glad I finally picked it up. It's a great tale of friendship, mixed with some really intense moments that really bring the characters to life.
