I really wanted to love this more! However it just felt with the three separate stories going on that things were a little rushed in all three stories. I am looking forward to the sequel to hopefully flesh things out and tie up some lose ends.

Three men who find each other throughout multiple lifetimes just to repeat the same mistakes in their love, lust, and violence over and over and over again.

Unfortunately, I deeply disliked this book. It was presented to me as a fun and sexy romance, and it barely delivered on either of those fronts. The writing was also subpar. Half a star added because the acknowledgements at the end were very sweet.

Disclaimer: I received a review copy for free via Netgalley, and am voluntarily leaving my honest thoughts. Many thanks to Harlequin Romance/Mira Books for the opportunity!

My immediate thought when reading this was Cloud Atlas meets specific Chinese history (Emperor Ai of Han) and mythology with lots of gay sex, and that stayed true for a majority of my read.
