Finally finished the Narnias!!!! Now I understand why I never read them as a kid. The writing style just isn't smooth and the plotlines really aren't developed enough to capture interest, and the overt racism is appalling. This one especially made -10% sense plotwise. RIP Susan, she didn't deserve that, I agree with Phillip Pullman.

i really really enjoyed this book and as a finale to the series. it felt well written for not just children and i was able to glean meaning from it.

This one might have been my least favourite of the series. It was very symbolic, I didn’t like the Susan slander (but also I’m now realising after the ending that WHY she wasn’t in Narnia with them), the racial undertones were not appropriate for our times now AND FINALLY the ending shocked me and I didn’t see it coming but I guess it made sense. What I did like was seeing all the characters from the whole series in some form or another reunite - however it took until the last 25% of the book for this to happen. 2.5 ⭐️
