Most high schoolers, or at least those I knew growing up in a small town, talk about what it takes to “get out” or to “get famous”. This book explores that idea from the lens of a young man who is about to graduate and has nothing holding him in town. After a cosmic experience, he decides to get his old band back together and take another stab at making something of it, with the help of a demon.
I found this book to be an easy ready with plenty of well placed gore. Overall, I give it 4 stars. Looking forward to more work from this author!!

They say you shouldn’t buy a book based on the cover, but I couldn’t help myself with this one. If youre a fan of metal, I highly recommend checking this out! Oozing with suspense and heavy atmosphere; this twisted, gory and demonic telling of a bands quest for greatness is fast paced and addictive! Filled with mentions of some of my favourite bands, I could practically hear the music as I read; sucking me in even further.

This was my first read from Jay Bower and definitely won’t be the last!

Written as a series of blog posts given as evidence in a report, this is a fun and gory look at just what it could take to make it as a metal band! I loved the mentions of the bands, and the way the characters behaved according to their level of fame, as well as how it all came to the almost inevitable conclusion that it did. A very good read, and an interesting style of writing it.
