5 Reasons I Could Not Love Black Widow #11

1. As much as I love Chris Samnee's actions scenes (and I seriously do love them because they are fantastic), the last few issues have been very heavy in them. I'm a little action fatigued.

2. We had Natasha infiltrate a top-secret SHIELD nuclear base and not have the Avengers or Maria Hill immediately show up or be notified. Really? Natasha's that good, but SHIELD is not that bad.

3. The concept of the Red Room being reborn as the Dark Room and Recluse taking over is extremely interesting to me, but not much time is spent on it. I would be okay with Waid and Samnee veering out of Natasha's point of view and spending some times with Recluse and her girls.

4. There is no Bucky in this issue, and I am upset about it.

5. I loved the Phil Noto run of Black Widow and how it really delved into Natasha's psyche. I love the fast-pace and action-oriented focus of this series, but I do wish they lingered a little more on Natasha's thoughts and emotions. The closest they get here is how Natasha is just so done and tired when dealing with the Dark Room girls. She tries to convince them there is another way, and she is reluctant to fight them.
