What...did I just read? If my eyelids hadn't closed of their own accord last night, I would probably have finished this in one sitting.

I have no idea where to land here. It's very British in its deadpan writing style. It's insane, clever, and disturbingly engaging. Emphasis on disturbing.

One star because, while I couldn't put it down, it was too disturbing for me. Plus, I didn't like the ending. I was hoping for something very different. So, I can't say I liked it.

Objectively speaking, it's excellent. It's a skillfully crafted story, with a unique characterization and voice. If I were rating it solely on its merits, it would deserve four stars. That said, it's ultimately not for me, and I tend to rate on how I feel about it.

I thought this was going to be funnier? The premise was good and there were twists. Just wanted the humor factor to be a little higher.

this was FUN AF!! not to find a murderer relatable but.. lmao claire’s inner monologue is so funny. she gets herself into the craziest situation and i loved that more and more shit kept happening. and the flashbacks to her childhood really helped shape her as a character which was great. i love an unhinged FMC!!!
