I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the first book. I liked the way the characters were built upon but I felt irritated by Ryan several times (particularly in his attitude towards Anna, being a bit hypocritical 🙈). I am hoping more will be wrapped up in the third book.

I found it slightly less gripping than the first book. I find the characters are being built really well and I find myself suspecting everyone. I don't particularly like DCI Ryan but I don't think you need to like the main detective in a series like this as they aren't always likeable people themselves.
