Best book in the entire series so far. I loved seeing the relationship development between Tristan, Ushna, and Brian. It's great to finally see them all together at last. The alternating first person viewpoint between the three of them really allowed me to see things from each of their eyes and get to know them better individually. It showcased just how different each of them are and how they complement one another perfectly to form a solid triad. The story itself is action packed, many questions from previous books are answered and a new way is paved for the ongoing story (warning: another cliffhanger ending!). I'm looking forward to the next book with bated breath!

PS: I want a Dragonet so bad!!!

4.5 stars - I loved that the three finally came together! I was surprised by the betrayals committed. So much was going on in this book, just like the others in the series. Definitely not a dull moment. I also love that it ended on a positive note even with battles looming. I'm so glad I am able to read the final book soon!!

I've tried, and I think this is the last of this author I'm going to read. I love the concept of the series, and gave it a B- on All About Romance earlier this year, but yeah, I'm done now.

Things I have a problem with:
There is no sense of time passing, in both this book and the previous one. But there's still a lot of time passing. It's confusing.
There's so much introspection going on that I got honestly got kinda bored. The moments of action aren't very exciting, and the rest is talking about what has happened, what will happen, and all the feelings. There's no balance.
The names of the gods and goddesses, along with the cultural references, are so incredibly confusing. I like that the series takes its influence from the Middle East (and Egypt, to some extent), but I have no idea who or what we're talking about half the time.
There are so many loose ends, between this and the previous stories, that I could make a fringe skirt. Or a 20s flapper dress.

Overall, the story still isn't bad, but it really doesn't work for me anymore. It's sad. I wanted it to.

2 out of 5 stars. The basics are good, but between the pacing and the writing, I'm just "eh."

Can’t wait for more

This one is the best of the series. I liked the fact that it had multiple POV’s as we really got to see things from everyone’s perspective. I liked that Tristan and Brian both remembered all of their past lives even the ones that they weren’t nice people. I wonder how Ushna will be changed.
All the threads are starting to come together and I can’t wait to read the final book and see how it all plays out
