this was a heavy read in the first half — it reminded me of a lot of stuff i went through in my youth and i had to step away for a couple days but i ultimately ended up finishing it. it was nice to see an explanation of the events of gamergate through the eyes of the person who was actually going through it, and for her to have authority over which parts of the story were told and how that was done. 

the second half focuses more on the founding of her organization which i was less interested in at first, but she inspires some empathy that helped me better understand why that was something she was more interested in talking about. she also does a good job of boosting voices that are often glossed over (specifically black and trans women) in these discussions. overall i was glad to have read it.
