The looming threat of war is never fulfilled in a satisfying way. Basically, the series is missing a book, this book includes a bunch of build up and then everything is solved in the last few chapters just like that.
This conclusion was EVERYTHING. I loved this duology and the end of this book???? PERFECTION. I spent so much of my time upset with the choices the MC made that by the time these choices were undone I was shocked and blindsided. If there is one thing I can understand, it is making choices out of not wanting to trust anyone because everyone has let you down before.
I am a super fan of the olden ways and traditions of the fae so I always love reading stories that use them while also making them their own. I think the author did that well here and I cannot wait to read more from her in the future.
I love Finn. What a simp he is. Honestly, the idea of two powerful fae males fighting for you is an INSTANT yes from me.
