Really took me some time to get into it. Cute winter cozy romance, nice plot. I was happy with them saying „I‘m falling in love with you“ instead of „I love you“ at the happy end, it felt more believable and honest after like 4 weeks of hanging out lmao I also really enjoyed the side characters (family members) and the pacing, it didn’t feel rushed at all.
I was hooked as soon as Megan, in her white wedding dress takes off down the service stairs, becoming a runaway bride and almost runs smack into Christian. They went to school together and he’s eyeing her from head to toe, taking in the sight she must be as she’s escaping out a side door. He lets her go but I wondered after I read it if he wanted her to stop for a minute. It felt like maybe a missed opportunity. Years later, Megan runs smack into Christian again. Funny how fate brings them back together. The scheming, fake dating, magnetic chemistry and family dynamics make for a cozy afternoon of reading because you won’t want to put it down!

4.5 stars! Lovely cozy Christmas romance. Fake dating trope. Really enjoyable! This is the second Christmas book I read from this writer and she didn’t let me down! I will definitely read more of her books.
