I've seen/read this one so much, I find myself yelling at the characters the way someone might in a horror movie. "Oh hell no! Don't you kill yourself, she's just sleeping dude!"

I wonder what it was like to watch this one fresh; although it's my understanding that in Shakespearean times R&J was fairly popular story even before the play came out.

An enduring story that has lived on forever. It gets easier the more you read it.

I first read this when I was in 8th/9th grade last year in October for my English class (of course). I'm now having to reread it because I'm in 9th grade again (didn't flunk, mind you; I was only 12 when I was in the 9th grade!). Anyway,I somewhat liked it, but it was waaay to dramatic and angsty for me. Besides, usually I like my romances where it takes time to get to know someone! I think the reason it's so popular is because the idea of being "destined" to be together is so romantic. I'd rather read Henry VIII or Othello, plz.
