Had to read this for class and I don’t think this is something I would have ordinarily picked up but I liked the use of folklore and myth! The imagery was neat as was how the war was relegated to the background. The ending wasn’t my fave and I feel Daniel’s perspective was kind of unnecessary but overall solid

This book by Robbie Arnott was so beautifully written. It was part folktale and part dystopia, with such an interesting cast of characters who intersect in unexpected ways. I was hooked right from the first sentence of this book.
