The book was a light fast read, I definitely would say that McManus has written better books. The characters were kind of cliched and I only enjoyed and wanted to care about Jonah. The first half of the book was slow and a little boring and it seemed like all of the drama and action was packed and rushed into the second half.

Definitely interesting, personally my favourite book is by Karen Mcmanus is still one of us is lying, because the characters just can’t be beat. However the characters in this book definitely were very well written. Karen Mcmanus truly writes people like no other. I really enjoyed the depth and weaknesses that she showed in the characters. And how they rise up and address their struggles. The reason why i’m giving it 4 stars is because one, I know that Milly and Jonah aren’t cousins but the whole concept still gave me a bit of an “ick” y’know? The plot was a little predictable at times but I liked that she jumped back and fourth between Alison at 18 to the “cousins” in the present.

Once again, an amazing book by Karen M. McManus. It was different from her other books, it didn't revolve around murder at the start, but definitely slowly uncovered it throughout the book. I loved the storyline as it was original and of course, I had no idea who were actually evil. I loved the cute romance between Jonah and Millie.
