A true coming of age romance story with a bit of the paranormal/sci-fi thrown in. Ally is a young, 16-year old teenager with some extraordinary gifts. One day in class, those gifts rear their ugly head and the cute boy behind her finally talks to her. Jack has had his eyes on Ally since he got to the school at the beginning of the year but had never said two words to her. Watch their incredible journey through their Jr. year of high school and see what happens. Watch as some plans fall apart, some come together, the relationship goes south, the relationship comes together, and most importantly how Ally can reclaim her friendship with someone she had been friends with in elementary school. Ally's journey is just beginning. I cannot wait to read the next chapter of the story, Dreamer.

Fantastic story that captured my attention. Ally and Jack are real and the plot pulls me in. I bought this series for my great niece, knowing that I would read it first. Buy the whole series and you will glad you did!

I thought this was a very good book. I enjoyed it a lot. I found it funny and heartbreaking. I like the writing style that Amy used. I loved the relationship between Jack and Ally. They have perfect chemistry. I thought that Grams and Cassie were hilarious and Tara was awesome too. I thought Amy was able to bring for a great fantasy story with some brutal aspects of abuse. I felt so bad for Veronica because
Spoiler she was physically and sexually abused by the Coach
. Thank you for the opportunity, Amy Reece. I will be looking forward to reading more of this series.

This is basically a fairly sweet YA romance with a touch of paranormal added by Ally’s visions. Sure there is the ‘mystery’ of Victoria and her problems as seen thru Ally’s visions but it is fairly low key in terms of the page time dedicated to solving it and Ally’s efforts to help while genuine mainly seemed to be included as a backdrop to her developing romance with Jack and to showcase her super strong (not seen in generations of course) powers.

Enjoyed the romance between Jack & Ally. I liked that Jack had a valid reason for his early attempt to stay away and how caring and protective he was with Ally. I also liked how once they were in a relationship they actually TALKED to one another, and not just about random stuff. They talked about important things and communicated so there were no stupid misunderstandings.

Would definitely check out the next one.

Ally thinks she is just ordinary girl, until she gets visions. She sees something horrible happening to her class mate and is not sure what to do with it. Turns out Ally's power is something really special.

Jack had a lot of trouble in the past and is now trying to finish high school. He likes Ally and at the same time tries to keep his distance. They form really cute couple.

I really like the writing style, it just flows, and grips you from the start. Story was a bit predictable at times, but still enjoyable.

The review was up on For The Love of Fictional Worlds as a part of the blog tour for the series hosted by Indie Sage PR on July 7th!

Ally is having dreams while waking up - only these aren't dreams. They seem to be visions about things that have already happened! This is now playing havoc in her life because while she understands that her family is a little different, she did not expect that "differentness" to be passed on to her!

But those visions bring her something good! They get her closer to Jack - Jack who has a painful and violent past - Jack who is trying to keep his nose clean, and whose plans do not include falling for an underage girl. But fall he does!

I had really high expectations from the book, to be very honest - like 5 stars expectations and it did valiantly try to reach to my expectations. The plot, the mystery and the climax were pretty much on the point but what took the joy out of my experience was Ally herself. She started off as a strong, independent teenager but while she still retained those qualities, she still became quite whiny. She cried at every turn (yes, I understand that the visions were horrible and no, I wouldn't have expected her to get used to it!) but I did expect her to grow a backbone once she knew why it was happening to her.

Jack on the other hand, was adorable and quite frankly Ally's rock! They fell for each other almost instantly (and that for me is just wrong at their age!). While they didn't talk about "being together forever" they did actually fell hard and fast!! But I still believe that this book could have used a chapter or two from Jake's POV!

The plotline and the writing though were point on! These were the reasons why I still held on, even if I sometimes felt like giving up because of Ally. The twists and the background were interestingly vague - which didn't irritate me, mostly cause I knew that I had the second book in hand!
