I always find poetry difficult to rate, especially since I'm so new to the medium. Rating it implies I have something in which to compare it to, and I really don't; I have no idea what I enjoy in poetry (if I enjoy it at all). So what I will say is I enjoyed this, the exploration of identity and selfhood, as Nieuwland places themselves into different entities, almost testing out the boundaries and limits of what one can be. Exploring something as multifaceted and difficult as identity is always gonna be difficult, but Nieuwland uses poetry as an avenue to express it. It's weird, confusing but beautiful.

A beautiful, accessible, introspective poetry collection that explores some serious topics with powerful metaphors and a sense of humour

I am a satisfied reader.
An incredible collection. Sharp, witty and deadpan prose shape windows of effortless intimacy that leaves you wanting to linger over each poem to saviour the enjoyment. Jackson serves an ambiguous relationship with identity up with delight and curious twist that makes me want to break myself apart.
I feel refreshed and renewed from reading it, and want to share the collection with everyone I knowS
