I said the last book was my favorite, but this one was!! I even teared up at the end!! What a great plot...and a fun way to vicariously go on an Alaskan cruise. I think I got my cruise fix by reading this.

I love cozies and hadn't ready any of the previous books but man is Sadie annoying....I understand being protective of your kids but she goes overboard. It was still good and I had an inkling who the killer was towards the end of the book but it wasn't too obvious.

A cute story. Just when one mystery is solved, more questions popped up. I liked it

Takes two popular attributes of detective leads and combines them into one: this sleuth is both bumbling and unendearing.

I almost went with a 3 on this one because I struggled through most of it, more so than some of the others in the series that I struggled with. Sadie was annoying again, and I didn't connect with any of what was going on. Even being adopted and having found my birth mother, I struggled to connect with that aspect of the story as well. However, being a sap, the ending totally redeemed the book for me. I loved the 2 surprises (1 expected, 1 not) that happened. The recipes were also a bit of a let-down in this book for me -- there just weren't as many that appealed to me. They sound good, but I just won't make a bunch of salmon recipes (although the chowder at the end I will, it sounds fab!). So, overall, not my favorite of the series but still worth the read.
