This is the first book that involves true crime prodcasting that compares to "Sadie" by Courtney Summers (read that book!) - which is very high praise from me. I enjoyed this book and the twists it takes. It has so far been my favorite October SpOoky Read and is a wonderful mystery.

Pretty boring and felt like true crime podcast fan-fiction (I'm a huge fan of true crime podcasts).

Listened to this audiobook with my mom on a road trip. When we got home, we sat at the dining table for another hour to finish it.

I loved the premise behind this book, that a true-crime podcaster decides to re-open a cold case, that of the Countdown Killer (TCK). Around the time Elle starts her new season of podcasts, a girl who fits the pattern of the serial killer obsessed with numbers goes missing. Elle begins to see connections to the old TCK case, but everybody she suggests it to think she's just obsessed with that cold case and is seeing connections where there aren't.

There were a few plot developments I saw coming or didn't find entirely plausible, but our author surprised me and made me want to keep reading in other places. You do get attached to Elle, despite some of her bad choices, and that adds a lot of emotional depth to scenes where those she loves and trust most seem to doubt her. Overall, for a first novel, this was very good. I'd be interested to see what else Suiter Clarke decides to write. Recommended to fans of thrillers and mysteries that feature amateur and private sleuths.

Buen ritmo e historia.

I couldn’t put this down.

Amazing.

I’ve decided that my favorite thrillers are ones with podcasts twisted in them. True crime serial killers. What I loved about this one is that the actual crimes weren’t sexual in nature and for some reason that was just a fresh spin.

This story was unique and kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I needed answers just as Elle did.

One of the best books I’ve read in 2021.

I seriously hope this will become a series because I’m here for it.
