This was a very weird read. The atmosphere and prose was beautiful. The content however was disgusting and uneasy, full of bodily fluids, yet somehow erotic in a way that left me feeling nauseated. The writing was full of metaphors about temptation, boundaries, and perhaps depression and emotional dependence. I enjoyed this story and how uncomfortable it made me.

Bisexual body horror and piss? Very weird book that I don’t know how to feel about, but the prose was pretty! No clue what happened in this book but the vibes were rot girl summer and i guess that’s cool!

This was a book I got the urge to reread as a physical book on a whim. I had read it before as an audiobook and felt compelled to come back to the story. While still bursting with grossness as before, I could appreciate the dreamlike and musical qualities the story had to offer this time around.

Ohhh wow.

This is so totally my shit. Erotic, disturbing, front-loaded with a constant feeling of dread and finished with
top-tier body horror
. Such a powerhouse of a little queer horror book. Basically everything I've been searching for. I just love how weird and nasty this is, while also having some of the most beautifully evocative prose I've read in a minute? Feels very nicely crafted while also refusing to pull it's punches. Made me think a lot of one of my favorite horror games/pieces
