I enjoyed how the author connected people and events throughout the story, but found the whole thing choppy. I felt as if some things weren't explained well and I used my imagination to "fill in the gaps", which very well might have been the intent.

I thought this would be a book solely about isolation and what a future with a devastating flu outbreak would look like. There was so much more to this book, and the way the story traversed in and out of the pre and post collapse was fantastic.

This book is so well written and hits home so very hard as an artist following the Covid pandemic. I want to recommend this book for everyone who was/is an artist, or who enjoys art, or who had art help them through the pandemic. This is such a beautiful and compelling story.
