4.5/5
I'm a sucker for a good dystopian/post apocalyptic story, so no surprise, I had a great time with this novel.

I happened to watch the series adaptation of this before reading it, which I don't normally do, but I thoroughly enjoyed both stories different as they may be.

I flew through this book, the only times I ever really wanted to put it down were later in the book going back into Arthur's story arch. I found myself caring very little about his plot line, but I think that's really the only thing stopping me from giving this one 5 stars.

I loved this book, I would recommend it, and I would definitely re-read it.

This book has been on my TBR list FOREVER! When the opportunity came up to have it at a book club selection, I jumped on it!
This book was astounding in it's simplicity. With a story that some authors would have turned into a 500-600 page epic journey, Emily made into a powerful story with short and concise events.
The story takes place in two different time frames, pre and post society's "collapse", so keeping track of names and timelines was a little bit of a task for me. But the way all these lives wove together to tell a story was incredible.
It is a quick read, at least it was for me, and I didn't want it to stop. I wanted much more of this story. I will definitely be looking into more books by this author!

A well-written take on a post-apocalyptic scenario, but I wasn't terribly interested in the ongoing storyline that is meant to tie together all the otherwise thoughtful individual perspectives and events.
