Firstly, what's with the weird names of the leading ladies in Colleen Hoover's books? The last book I read was Beyah and this one is Fallon... I wonder what the next one will be called?!

I wasn't as blown away by this one as I've been by Coho's other books I've read. There were quite a few things Ben did or didn't do that frustrated me, but I guess it's what kept the plot going and created a bit of drama. I wasn't expecting the big twist towards the end though! Big shock, and explains quite a few things. I also want to mention those steamy scenes! They definitely get the heart racing!

I believe this is my fifth Coho book I’ve read and they keep getting better and better. This might be my favorite one thus far and I hype up ‘Verity’ and ‘It ends with us’ like it’s my full time job.

Ce roman de CoHo traînait dans ma PAL depuis un petit moment, et puis j'ai décidé de le lire pour boucler mon défi lecture 2017. J'avais lu de nombreux avis à son sujet et vu les réactions de nombreuses copinautes quant à un certain tournant du récit (sans en savoir plus), du coup, je n'ai pas vraiment eu le plaisir de la découverte, et la fraîcheur d'une lecture sans a priori ...

L'idée de base de ces rendez-vous annuels constitue une excellente base romanesque, et avec une auteur telle que CoHo aux manettes, ça ne peut qu'être au top. Sauf ... Sauf que cette auteur a pour moi un gros défaut, elle tombe souvent dans des rebondissements et du drama à 2 balles, et là, franchement, ça envoie du lourd, et pour moi, cela a tout gâché.

Cela reste un roman agréable à lire, cette auteur est indéniablement douée pour manier la plume et faire passer le ressenti de ces personnages, mais elle en fait trop, et on le sait, le mieux est l'ennemi du bien ...

BLOODY LOVELY. Really enjoyed this one. I’m a sucker for a great plot and two really likeable main characters. One of the better ones of Colleen’s books in my opinion!
