I misunderstood the intent of the book. I was thinking it'll talk about dating and romantic relationships as a whole - but it was pretty specific to online dating.
I also was hoping for advice on how to deal with harassment and getting hit on by undesirables in a way that makes it fun - not just with this idea of marriage as an end goal. Like, yeah, she mentioned "well, they're not for you, so move along" but it could have been pushed further. Some of these instances can be really triggering and traumatic and I would like to handle them back. Probably wayyy out of scope of the book.
Also, I'm ace/recently demi. She herself pointed out the challenges of dating as ace. The book didn't quite get to the deeper aspects of making dating fun for me.
That said, it gave a lot of good practical advice. They're things that aren't relevant to me now, but they're so practical, I'm certain I can translate them to outside of the online sphere.

Online dating should be fun, full stop. If it isn’t fun for you, you need this book! It has almost every piece of dating advice I’ve ever given and more. The author is an experienced dating coach who I’ve never heard of prior to coming across her book at the library, but the advice is seriously spot-on.
It’s incredibly inclusive of all genders and relationship styles/desires, and this book is not written for a specific audience in mind. Anyone who uses dating apps can benefit.

A very helpful book to read as you are “getting back out there.” Some of the advice was a little elementary for my emotional intelligence level, but some people may need to hear it. Lots of journal fodder in here!
