✨️The Green Mile by Stephen King✨️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A miracle walked the Green Mile, but the world wasn’t ready for mercy.
Originally released in six parts from March to August 1996. Set in Cold Mountain Penitentiary, 1932, in Louisiana. Book is a narration by Paul Edgecombe, an elderly man recounting his experiences as a death row supervisor.
This is one of my favorite movies, and I finally got around to reading the novel. I'm so glad that I did. This was such a haunting & heart-wrenching tale.
This isn’t your typical Stephen King horror novel — it’s quieter, more emotional, and deeply human.
John Coffey is one of the most unforgettable characters I’ve ever read: gentle, mystical, and painfully misunderstood. Through Paul Edgecombe’s eyes, we’re forced to reckon with justice, cruelty, and the question of miracles in a broken world.
💚 The writing is simple but powerful.
💚 The emotional depth? Devastating.
💚 The message? Timeless.
Why not 5 stars? The pacing dragged in a few places, and some of the secondary characters felt underdeveloped. But overall, this was a beautifully told story.
