A great continuation of this new continuity, which feels like a great remix of what's come before. Lots of new ideas and character interactions. Still a penchant for robot carnage. I love the art. So expressive and fun.

Again. It absolutely tore my heart out of my chest. Cybertron is an active nightmare and death is indiscriminate. Just thinking about it all (the story, what happened, the characters, the implications of it all) makes my eyes burn.

Oh and. Spike and Sparkplug? And then Optimus. And Arcee, Ultra Magnus, Cliff, and. And. AND. I am in shambles.

How this volume/these issues were able to explore and simply show the devastation of this war and how Optimus has somehow decided to sort of... choose aliens over his own is just. So fresh. I remember this issue being brought up in another continuity (TFP) from Ratchet and they sort of just... glossed over it. Here, the repercussions are shown. I just love this so much.
