The series seems to have to take a large nose dive in this book, unfortunately. The writing is poor, half the Flock seems to fade into the background until needed for plot convenience, the villain is barely present despite him being terrifying supposedly, Max, Fang and Angel seem to have become Flanderized. The plot was unbelievable, which most of the series is, but this felt beyond that. I'm going to stop the series here and pretend it ended at [b:Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports|33676|Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports (Maximum Ride, #3)|James Patterson|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1442335715l/33676._SY75_.jpg|940067].
