Not So Wicked is the first book I’ve read by Billie Dale so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I knew going in it was going to be a romantic comedy. What I got was a lot of slap humour and “stupid funny”.

It definitely made me laugh but even the character names were just too ridiculous for my liking. All the characters in the book are based off of Disney characters. The heroine is named Mallory F’Cent (Maleficent) and her best friend is Ursulette. The hero’s identity keeps you guessing as to why he is hiding who he really is from Mal but even when that is revealed, you’re just left scratching your head.

The only reason why I’m giving this book 3 stars is because it really is quite funny and the romance side of it is kind of cute. But there’s a lot left to be desired in this book.

I have not read a book by this author before. I honestly laughed and giggled all the way through this book. The lead character is something else! I enjoy her smart alec comments and her inner and outer monologues. Her friend and Momma give her a hard time filled with love. The male character is yummy. The book uses some fairy tale characters and gives them a unique twist. I thououghly enjoyed this book and hope to read more from her in the future in this universe she has created. Thank you for a good book that kept me smiling all the way through.
