Once, the king and queen had loved each other, but then they forgot.
Very cute, quick fairy tale about two emotionally stunted idiots with one personality trait to share between the two of them falling in love. I didn't understand the curse or the rules as neither was very well explained despite being mentioned every other sentence. But whatever, it was fun.

Below are some of my notes as I was listening to the book, this was my first audiobook so this is something I had to get used to, it's the same thing when I read an e-book. I'm a big fan of Roshani but for some reason, this didn't hit the mark for me, but I will always support her.
- sounds like Roshani's style, I love her humour
- this story might have done better on paper
- might be because this is my first audio book
- an interesting concept that could've gone somewhere a couple who had gone through rough patches and are given a second chance to rekindle their relationship
- kind of boring listening
- I only didn't start paying attention until the second chapter
- the voice acting isn't that bad
- kind of formulaic reminds me of a 2000s chick flick
- characters are kind of interesting one doesn't want to be under control or commanded she had enchanted shoes along with her 11 other sisters one is too proud and stoic
- I have to say it's kind of funny when Imelda kissed the badger

Fabulous fairy tale! I loved some of the modern nuances that were included. Honey badgers… ha! It was a quick, happy little read. Easy to complete in one sitting and just adorable.
