It is really an analysis of the text especially in comparison with Beowulf. Not so much for entertainment... it's saving grace is the original recording of J.R.R. Tolkien (but the quality is poor)

This was a really quick Tolkien read. I love The Battle of Maldon and when I discovered that Tolkein wrote a play that sequels that poem, I jumped on board. Turns out, Tolkien was pretty terrible at writing plays. I think he captured the historical culture of England at the time, but I truly didn't enjoy this like I enjoy other works of Tolkien.
