Both of these books lived up to all the hype surrounding them. Beyond being an incredibly well-thought out story, it was inspiring and beautifully drawn. Highly recommend to anyone who likes graphic novels and/or the revolutionary spirit.
Eye opening. I think everyone should read these novels to understand even just an inkling of the hardships that Iranians faced due to the Islamic Revolution, let alone what women faced.
Okay, my lazy ass self started this sequel as an e-book and with my busy life that was going around, forgot to continue, lol. I found a Turkish copy of whole Persepolis comic and continued from where I left. It took couple hours. I like how Satrapi is extremely honest with her story. First edition with the first two parts was really emotional but this one was focused on more about her teenager years and the her path to adult life. Her life is definitely interesting and sometimes brokes your heart, sometimes makes you laugh and sometimes makes you go like "whoa, me too girl." I can totally relate with the dilemma of "am i being asimilated or this is just called being modern?" I like this comic, a lot. I like honest things and this was one of them. I want to watch the movie version of it asap.
I gave 4/5 because I liked the first part more because of the emotional parts.

my review for this was deleted so like it was good but the first one was better.
