Anden del af Marjane Satrapis” selvbiografiske tegneserie er ikke helt ligeså gribende som den første, men den er stadig fuldstændig fremragende.

Persepolis 1 was (to me) better. However, I think part of this is I had high expectations for Persepolis 2 based on how excellent the first one was. Either way, both books are an important insight into life for Iranian women both at home and abroad. Satrapi’s stories of small rebellion are inspiring - she demonstrates a type of feminism rarely recognized or acknowledged in the west.

I enjoyed this instalment more than the first one. The story of Marjane's teenage years showed much more personal growth than [b:Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood|9516|Persepolis The Story of a Childhood (Persepolis, #1-2)|Marjane Satrapi|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1327884892s/9516.jpg|3303888] and I highly enjoyed this. It was a bit longer and heavier in dialogue than the previous book but I overall felt more enjoyment when reading this story. I love the illustration style, it works beautifully with the story telling. Overall I would highly recommend this to any of my friends.
