When annotating this book, my tabs were:
  • Pink: Quotes
  • Light Pink: Love/Sweet
  • Light Purple: Sad
  • Purple: Girlish/Friendship/Relateable

This was my favorite installment of the 3-part series. I was happy to see Tabby's friends do well for themselves, especially Laila. And i was glad to see her relationship grow with her little sisters. Most importantly, on page 195
I love how she comes to lover her natural hair for what it truly is, her CROWN
. And I loved the the colors and cover artwork!

I cannot say enough good things about these books!! Book 2 did not disappoint and was another easy 5 star rating for me.

I’m so invested in these characters and their growth.

Counting down the days until book 3 is released! I think Jayne Allen might be one of my new favorite authors.

This book definitely does not suffer from second book syndrome. The story flows well into the next chapter of the characters' lives, and I cannot wait to see how the story continues/ ends.
