Well written and hard to put down. I was a little disappointed by how it ended; after so much detail it seemed to end too quickly.

3.5 for me. This book had so much potential- there were twists and turns that were introduced that could have really been turned in to so much more- it sort of fell flat for me! It was up and down— I’d be like “OMG WHAT IF?!?” And instead of being shocking- it became predictable. Just ok- I did like listening to it!
Pretty interesting right from the start. While I liked the dual perspectives from Jess and Dr. Shields, I didn’t love the second person “you” pov in Dr. Shields’ sections. The story was twisted, thrilling, and unpredictable.
Kept me reading, but not surprising or believable. Also, the main character was a crummy person.

Intense read. Enjoyable mystery suspense without too many hackneyed twists. Really enjoyed the psychological set up and Dr Shields as a character.
Tiny point but I'd love to read a book where the MC isn't "unconventionally beautiful" In the case of this book meaning she has dark curly hair instead of straight blonde hair. Made my eyes roll out of my head.

Everyone in this book is annoying. The entire plot is contrived and weird. Before we get all of the info, I was hopeful that maybe we would get a truly sociopathic, calculating, lady villain but not, of course the reason she’s bad is because a man doesn’t love her the way she loves him. Barf.
